ALLTEK / KNAUF OVERVIEW
Alltek/Knauf Spray and Alltek/Knauf Hand (Hantek) are used as a surface preparation to concrete, plasterboards, fairfaced block-work and similar. The objective of Alltek/Knauf Spray and Alltek/Knauf Hand (Hantek) is to provide a level and smooth surface ready for further decoration. - In some cases e.g. ceilings. Alltek/Knauf Spray can also be applied as a self-finished white texture, requiring no further decorating.
| Alltek/Knauf is a ready mixed paste, no water is required on site (other than for cleaning tools). It has a rapid drying time of 12-24 hours per coat. A choice in decorative finishes can be achieved from 'smooth', 'textured', 'rollered' and 'leathered' looks. It dries as an even matt finish. The binders in Alltek/Knauf are designed to work with the binders in paint to provide a very hard wearing surface. Normally only one coat of paint is required for final decoration. On textured ceilings no paint is required.

Alltek/Knauf surface coatings are a highly cost-effective alternative to traditional thin-coat plaster for finishing walls and ceilings. They are purpose designed for rapid machine application on fast-track building projects.
Alltek/Knauf coatings significantly reduce building program times by optimising internal fit-out. They are supplied pre-mixed to the correct site consistency for spray application; surfaces can be emulsion painted after only 24-48 hours with only a mist-coat and finish coat being required; application and decorating are normally undertaken by the same team; and the final surface is less prone to cracking than plaster, minimising any follow up ´de-snagging´work.
Alltek/Knauf surface coatings are suitable for application to most internal backgrounds including concrete, blockwork, brickwork, plasterboard and previously plastered surfaces. They are available in smooth or textured grades in a white finish. Alltek/Knauf can also be supplied pre coloured in a range of pastel shades, please contact us for details.
